Metal Museum - Carlsen Family Scholarship (2026)

The Carlsen Family Class Scholarship covers registration fees for Metal Museum education opportunities - which include but are not limited to classes, workshops, or conferences - hosted by and at the Metal Museum.
Scholarships are available to students or emerging artists age 25 or younger with a desire to pursue a career in metalsmithing. Preference is given to applicants who have not received a Metal Museum scholarship before. An applicant who has previously received a Metal Museum scholarship must wait a full scholarship cycle before applying again.
Scholarship recipients will be asked to write a short statement regarding the impact of the scholarship on their practice at the conclusion of the class. The statement and a photo of the recipient and/or their work will be used in social media posts by SIB and the Metal Museum (alternative arrangements can be made if the recipient wishes to remain anonymous).
